Hello Apple Developer Community,
I’m seeking advice regarding a prolonged App Store review that is currently impacting our business.
Our app was submitted more than two months ago, and the review process has not progressed since then. During this time, we sent two support emails to Apple Developer Support requesting assistance.
We did receive one response stating that the app was “in review”, but unfortunately the message did not provide any useful details, timeline, or further guidance, and there has been no additional update since then.
This delay is now blocking our business launch, as the mobile application is a critical component of our product release. Without App Store approval, we cannot proceed with launching our service to customers.
Summary of the situation:
Submission date: More than 2 months ago
Current status: Pending
Support requests sent: 2 emails to Apple Developer Support
Responses received: 1 reply saying the app was “in review,” but no meaningful information
Impact: Blocking our planned business launch
We understand that review times can vary, but waiting this long without meaningful feedback or communication has become very challenging for our team.
If anyone has experienced a similar situation or knows:
How to escalate a long-pending review
Alternative ways to contact the App Review team
Whether there are currently unusual delays in the review process
Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you for your time and support.
Hello Apple Developer Community,
I’m looking for advice regarding a prolonged App Store review that has been ongoing for some time now.
Our mobile application was submitted to the App Store on Feb 19, 2026 at 7:06 AM, and since then the status has remained “Waiting for Review.” There has been no progress or change in status.
Because review times are typically described as taking around 24–48 hours in many cases, the length of this delay has become concerning and somewhat unclear. At this point, I’m mainly trying to understand whether this is simply an unusually long queue or if there might be another issue affecting the review.
We have not received any rejection, request for additional information, or communication related to the submission.
App details:
Apple ID: 6759366887
Summary of the situation:
• Submission date: Feb 19, 2026 at 7:06 AM
• Current status: Waiting for Review
• No rejection or review notes received
• No changes in status since submission
I understand that review times can vary depending on workload and other factors. However, remaining in the queue for this length of time without any updates makes it difficult to understand whether everything in the submission is proceeding normally.
If anyone in the community has experienced a similar situation or has insight into the current review queue, I would really appreciate any guidance, including:
• Whether extended “Waiting for Review” times are common recently
• If there are recommended steps to follow in cases like this
• Whether contacting App Review or Developer Support again would be advisable
Any advice or shared experience would be very helpful. Thank you in advance.

My app has been stuck on "Waiting for Review" for a long time now and there has been absolutely no progress.
It’s pretty frustrating considering the review time that’s usually mentioned is around 24–48 hours.

App Review
I managed to publish the first version of my app at the beginning of February.
I was lucky, I guess.
On 11th of February, I added a new version which contains in app purchases.
The app went "in review" a few hours later and since then ... nothing.
After a week or so I sent a first email support. They claim responding in 2 working days: no response.
Then I sent another one. 2 days later another one. Tried expedite review several times: nothing.
Last week I finally got an answer to my first email: they apologize, blah blah.
But still nothing.
This is very very annoying. I longtime hesitated to purchase the Apple developer program and finally did it. Now I regret doing so.
They seem they don't care about.
We buy expensive Apple gear. We develop applications we cannot even install on our devices without Apple developer subscription! And they treat us like this.
What is going on, Apple? Are you still there?
Hey everyone, I need to vent and also ask for some advice because I’m starting to lose my mind here.
I submitted a new build for my app 10 days ago, and it has been stuck in "Waiting for Review" ever since. Not "In Review," just waiting in the queue. The App ID is 6759559007
I get that Apple has millions of apps to sift through, but come on. The App Store is a core part of the iPhone experience, and having a review team that moves this slowly feels like a bottleneck that shouldn't exist in 2026. It’s especially frustrating because:
There are no rejection messages, so I know it’s not a guideline issue.
I have a planned marketing push that is now completely out of sync.
There is zero transparency. The status just sits there mocking me.
Any advice on how to actually get a human to look at this? Should I reject the binary and resubmit to "bump" it, or is that just sending me to the back of the line?
Feeling pretty hopeless here. Any insights would be hugely appreciated. Thanks

App Review
One app submitted Feb 14th, one app submitted Feb 25th.
Both apps are showing "Waiting for review".
Neither has been rejected, not have any action taken place.
I have one previous app published (Submitted June 30th, approved 1 July), but this is the first try for both of these apps.
I put in a support ticket asking status of the first app but no response.
Ca
n anyone here confirm that I've done the submission right and am just waiting on Apple based on the screen shot attached?

App Review
Hello everyone,
I am reaching out to the community and hopefully Apple representatives because I am currently facing a significant delay that has completely halted my first app launch.
Here is the timeline of my submission process:
February 1st: Initial submission of my first app.
February 3rd: Received a rejection with minor requests for improvement.
February 8th: I completed all requested changes and resubmitted the app.
Status since then: The app has been stuck in "Waiting for Review" for exactly one month.
Actions Taken:
I submitted an Expedited Review request.
I contacted Apple Developer Support twice via written tickets.
I had a phone call with the Apple Developer Support team.
During the phone call, I was advised not to withdraw and resubmit the app, as this would move me to the end of the queue. They mentioned they would escalate the issue to the review team. However, despite these efforts and the escalation, there has been absolutely no progress or change in status.
This delay has put me a full month behind my launch schedule. I have spoken with several other iOS developers who mentioned their apps are typically reviewed within 1–5 days. This discrepancy is very discouraging.
I am not looking for a shortcut; I simply want my app to be reviewed. My app is straightforward and does not contain any complex or controversial features that should justify such a long wait. This situation is unfortunately killing my motivation and excitement for development.
Specific Questions:
Is there anyone else experiencing a similar "limbo" for this long?
Can any Apple representative provide clarity on how long this queue actually is or why a simple update is stuck for 30 days?
Is there any other way to get a status update beyond the standard "just wait" response?
Case ID: 102829479153
I would deeply appreciate any insights from the community or assistance from the Apple team. Thank you for your time.

One app submitted Feb 21st.
The app is currently showing "Waiting for Review".
It hasn’t been rejected and there hasn’t been any action taken yet.
This is my first submission with this developer account, so I just want to confirm everything was submitted correctly and that I’m simply waiting on Apple’s review process.
For anyone from Apple who might be able to look into it, the app details are:
App name: Coop Keeper: Chore Cards
SKU: com.lukaambros.coopkeeperchorecards
Apple ID: 6759481708
I am submitting my first macOS app for notarization and all submissions have been stuck at "In Progress" for over 24-36 hours. The notarytool log command returns "Submission log is not yet available" for all of them.
App details:
macOS menu bar app (Apple Silicon only, arm64)
Signed with Developer ID Application certificate
Hardened Runtime enabled
Secure timestamp included
No get-task-allow entitlement
Team ID: 3426FSU868
Submission history:
bd5a8bf3-809f-42d5-9ab3-1cb665e4dfa6 (Mar 3, 13:02 UTC) - Status: Invalid
This was expected. It was a Debug build with get-task-allow and missing secure timestamp.
c3e54eef-650e-41ba-ac8f-8948147cc7e1 (Mar 3, 13:06 UTC) - Status: In Progress (36+ hours)
b6c4515a-93dd-417c-8956-158a73f62dee (Mar 3, 14:06 UTC) - Status: In Progress (35+ hours)
478b7e57-3492-46eb-98fb-04b52bff1f17 (Mar 4, 01:08 UTC) - Status: In Progress (24+ hours)
Submissions 2-4 were all built with Release configuration, signed with Developer ID Application certificate, hardened runtime, and secure timestamp. The codesign output confirms correct signing:
Authority=Developer ID Application: Waseem Khan (3426FSU868)
Authority=Developer ID Certification Authority
Authority=Apple Root CA
I understand first-time submissions may go through in-depth analysis but it has been well over 24 hours for all three. Is there anything wrong with my submissions or is this expected? Any help would be appreciated.

My app has been in "In Review" for 30 days now. I have e-mailed once with no reply and called twice with no helpful information. I have also requested a Expedited Review but that hasn't helped. If App Review could respond and help out in any way that would be greatly appreciated, thank you.

Curious what backend others are choosing these days. I am building a vocabulary app and exploring which backend would be a good fit.
Considering options like CloudKit, Firebase, Supabase, AWS Amplify, custom servers, or a combination. What are you using and what made you choose it?

Should you rely only on organic installs, or would a mix of strategies work better? Isn’t optimizing keywords and refining creatives essential for higher visibility? Would running Apple Search Ads not further amplify reach? And doesn’t encouraging strong reviews ultimately help in improving both ranking and credibility?

When I update my app name, the App Store URL also changes, and since the app URL contributes to ASO performance, this is a concern for me.
I would like to know whether it is possible to change the app name without affecting the URL, or if the previous URL automatically redirects to the new one.

I’m interested in hearing what currently concerns other indie iOS developers, as 2026 feels both exciting and somewhat fragile to me, with the constant worry that an Apple account issue or unexpected rejection could undo years of hard work overnight.
AI has made cloning apps easier than ever and even strong niches can quickly attract well funded competitors, so while I’m optimistic about building, these are the realities I often find myself thinking about.

I have been in the process of submitting an app and continue to get hit with guideline 5.6 as an error. Alongside the error the review team has attatched this screenshot of my paywall.
I would love to get some advice on what is causing this issue and how I can fix it.
**Below is the screenshot:
**
Decline Message
Guideline 5.6 - Developer Code of Conduct
Issue Description
The app attempts to manipulate customers into making unwanted In-App Purchases.
Next Steps
Revise the app to comply with these requirements.
Once the app is fully compliant, resubmit the app for review.
Resources
Learn more about Developer Code of Conduct requirements in guideline 5.6.
Thanks in advance for the review / advice.

I have been submitting the app multiple times and I keep getting rejected for:
Guideline 2.1 - Performance - App Completeness
Specifically, the in-app purchase is not available and the app is unresponsive when we tap the Upgrade button.
I feel like I am stuck in a circle since it is showing me the pricing is unavailalbe on my subscription page. I have checked and it is wired correctly and works in the google play store. The issue is that my subriptions are not approved yet. But I can't get my subscriptions approved without the app being approved for the first time.
So the Upgrade button cannot work, since the subscriptions are not approved, and they can't be approved without the app being approved.
I can't test it in the sandbox, since the application is not approved.
Anyone know what to do with this issue?
Alright, so I'm gonna send an email out to Eddy, Matt and Susan. If anyone wants to be copied, paste your email address here. This is just beyond belief. It is unfortunate we have to let Apple leadership know this service is broken and most probably call out people (sadly). This sort of delay is severely severed my relationship with customers and users. I plan to send the email out over the week-end
