Issue with Latest Commands Lines Tools 16.3 Update
After the Update of Latest Command Line Tools 16.3 I am facing issue to compile C++ programs. Like it is giving some kind of library error in the MACOSX15.sdk file and this is the error. In file included from /Library/Developer/CommandLineTools/SDKs/MacOSX15.sdk/usr/include/mach/machine/_structs.h:35, from /Library/Developer/CommandLineTools/SDKs/MacOSX15.sdk/usr/include/arm/_mcontext.h:36, from /Library/Developer/CommandLineTools/SDKs/MacOSX15.sdk/usr/include/machine/_mcontext.h:34, from /Library/Developer/CommandLineTools/SDKs/MacOSX15.sdk/usr/include/sys/signal.h:146, from /Library/Developer/CommandLineTools/SDKs/MacOSX15.sdk/usr/include/sys/wait.h:109, from /Library/Developer/CommandLineTools/SDKs/MacOSX15.sdk/usr/include/_stdlib.h:70, from /Library/Developer/CommandLineTools/SDKs/MacOSX15.sdk/usr/include/stdlib.h:58, from /opt/homebrew/Cellar/gcc/14.2.0_1/include/c++/14/cstdlib:79, from /opt/homebrew/Cellar/gcc/14.2.0_1/include/c++/14/stdlib.h:36, from /Library/Developer/CommandLineTools/SDKs/MacOSX15.sdk/usr/include/assert.h:44, from /opt/homebrew/Cellar/gcc/14.2.0_1/include/c++/14/cassert:44, from /opt/homebrew/Cellar/gcc/14.2.0_1/include/c++/14/aarch64-apple-darwin24/bits/stdc++.h:33, from 1.cpp:1: /Library/Developer/CommandLineTools/SDKs/MacOSX15.sdk/usr/include/mach/arm/_structs.h:627:35: error: expected primary-expression before 'unsigned' 627 | } __attribute__((aligned(_Alignof(unsigned int)))); | ^~~~~~~~ /Library/Developer/CommandLineTools/SDKs/MacOSX15.sdk/usr/include/mach/arm/_structs.h:627:26: error: '_Alignof' was not declared in this scope 627 | } __attribute__((aligned(_Alignof(unsigned int)))); | ^~~~~~~~ /Library/Developer/CommandLineTools/SDKs/MacOSX15.sdk/usr/include/mach/arm/_structs.h:633:35: error: expected primary-expression before 'unsigned' 633 | } __attribute__((aligned(_Alignof(unsigned int)))); | ^~~~~~~~ /Library/Developer/CommandLineTools/SDKs/MacOSX15.sdk/usr/include/mach/arm/_structs.h:633:26: error: '_Alignof' was not declared in this scope 633 | } __attribute__((aligned(_Alignof(unsigned int)))); | ^~~~~~~~ /Library/Developer/CommandLineTools/SDKs/MacOSX15.sdk/usr/include/mach/arm/_structs.h:639:35: error: expected primary-expression before 'unsigned' 639 | } __attribute__((aligned(_Alignof(unsigned int)))); | ^~~~~~~~ /Library/Developer/CommandLineTools/SDKs/MacOSX15.sdk/usr/include/mach/arm/_structs.h:639:26: error: '_Alignof' was not declared in this scope 639 | } __attribute__((aligned(_Alignof(unsigned int)))); | ^~~~~~~~ /Library/Developer/CommandLineTools/SDKs/MacOSX15.sdk/usr/include/mach/arm/_structs.h:645:35: error: expected primary-expression before 'unsigned' 645 | } __attribute__((aligned(_Alignof(unsigned int)))); | ^~~~~~~~ /Library/Developer/CommandLineTools/SDKs/MacOSX15.sdk/usr/include/mach/arm/_structs.h:645:26: error: '_Alignof' was not declared in this scope 645 | } __attribute__((aligned(_Alignof(unsigned int)))); But after downgrading the version to 16.2 it works fine. I can't understand that it's their any issue with Command Line Tools 16.3??

Is Apple reading reports in the new Feedback Assistant?
Dear Apple,I'm an iOS developer and provided feedback in the good old online bug tracker for many years.Decent conversations with Apple egnineers often resulted in bug fixes or updated documentation. The fact that my contributions helped to improve the products was rewarding. So I kept adding reports in the new Feedback Assistant app in macOS Catalina. But ever since (September 2019) I never ever got any response on any ticket.1 month ago I even added a report if Apple even read my reports. Again, no response ever since. So my question on this forum: Is Apple actually reading reports in the new Feedback Assistant? This can either be answered by Apple, or by other Developers that hopefully did response feedback from Apple. Or did not.Best regards,Martijn

Missing Content from my app
Hi there! I am not a coder, but I built an app in ADALO just for in-house use in my company, PetroImaging. The app looked the way I wanted it to in the preview mode in ADALO, but when my app was approved and ready for download in the app store, a lot of content was missing. Many buttons that linked to screens were just gone - even though they were there in the preview and the buttons are formatted correctly in adalo. How can I get my content that I need back on my app so the employees can being using it?

Installer packages are failing to install on macOS26.1
Hi, We use Flat package installers (.pkg based installers) to install our applications on macOS. In macOS 26.1, installation is failing with the error Unable to use PK session due to incompatible packages. Terminating. 2025-11-03 14:22:36+05:30 Admin-3 installer[1160]: Install failed: The Installer could not install the software because there was no software found to install. How to install self signed certificate to iPhone simulator running iOS 18.5?
I am trying to communicate with the backend of my project. So I need to install the certificate into the simulator. I have the .pem file but when I drag-dropped it into the simulator, I got the error "Simulator device failed to complete the requested operation.". The simulator is an iPhone 16 Pro running iOS 18.5. Is there any way to install the cert to my simulator? PS: I can't use Apple Configurator or MDM because I am using the office's Mac. And I can't install anything there. So I can only do it manually.

iOS 26 Download Link is Broken
I'm trying to download the iOS 26 restore image for my iPhone 14 Pro Max, which is my test device. However, when I attempted to install it directly via the over-the-air (OTA) update, the iPhone rebooted to the iOS 26 "Welcome" screen, but with no touch functionality—the screen was completely unresponsive. I restored the device back to iOS 18.5 and tried the OTA update again, but once more, the touch screen stopped working upon completion. Now, I am trying to download the iOS 26 restore image from the official developer page (https://developer.apple.com/download/#ios-restore-images-ipad-new) to install it manually using my Mac. However, I've run into a problem with the download links: The link for the iPhone 14 Pro Max (iOS 26) restore image actually downloads the iPhone 14 Pro (iOS 18.5) image. Conversely, the link for the iPhone 14 Pro seems to provide the correct iPhone 14 Pro Max (iOS 26) image. The issue is that when I try to restore my iPhone using this seemingly correct file, I receive an error that the firmware file is not valid or compatible. I suspect it's not being properly signed by Apple for my device during the restore process. Does anyone have the correct, official download link for the iOS 26 restore image for the iPhone 14 Pro Max? How can I fix these errors?

Problem getting Expectation objects (AI slop)
This is from an Xcode generated file. var values: [String] = [] let exp = Expectation() let c = pub.filter { $0 != nil }.map { $0! }.sink( The second line gives an error: "'Expectation' cannot be constructed because it has no accessible initializers". My best guess that Expectation objects come from some other Apple Swift Testing function, but I don't know where.

UI Test Cases Failing with Custom Accessibility Labels in SwiftUI
Hello Apple Developer Support, I am writing to seek assistance with an issue we are experiencing in our SwiftUI application concerning UI test cases. Our application uses accessibility labels that differ slightly from the display content to enhance VoiceOver support. However, we have encountered a problem where our UI test cases fail when the accessibility label does not match the actual display content. Currently, we are using accessibility identifiers in our tests, but they only retrieve the accessibility label, leaving us without a method to access the actual display content. This discrepancy is causing our automated tests to fail, as they cannot verify the visual content of the UI elements. We would greatly appreciate any guidance or solutions you could provide to address this issue. Specifically, we are looking for a way to ensure our UI tests can access both the accessibility label and the actual display content for verification purposes. For ex: Problem scenario - setting accessibilityLabel masks access to any displayed content If an accessibilityLabel is set on a UI element, then it seems to be no-longer possible to check/access the displayed content of that element: var body: some View { Text("AAA") .accessibilityIdentifier("textThing") .accessibilityLabel("ZZZ") // Different label from the text which is displayed in UI } // in test... func test_ThingExists() { XCTAssert(app.staticTexts["AAA"].exists) // Fails, cannot find the element XCTAssertEqual(app.staticTexts["ZZZ"].label, "AAA") // Fails - '.label' is the accessibilityLabel, not the displayed content XCTAssertEqual(app.staticTexts["ZZZ"].label, "ZZZ") // Passes, but validates the accessibility content, not the displayed content XCTAssert(app.staticTexts["textThing"].exists) // Passes, but does not check the displayed content XCTAssertEqual(app.staticTexts["textThing"].label, "AAA") // Fails - '.label' is the accessibilityLabel, not the displayed content XCTAssertEqual(app.staticTexts["textThing"].label, "ZZZ") // Passes, but validates the accessibility content, not the displayed content } element.label still only checks the accessibilityLabel. There is not, it seems, an way back to being able to check the content of the Text element directly. Thank you for your attention and support. We look forward to your valuable insights.

SF Symbols 7: Hundreds of SF Symbols missing 'Availability' info
In SF Symbols 7 (115), there are 458 symbols missing Availability info. I only discovered this after using one that didn’t appear in iOS 18 but does in iOS 26. Questions: Are there plans to add Availability info for all symbols? If the field is blank, is there a safe latest-OS version we can assume? I realize managing 7,000+ icons is tough, but missing info like this makes development frustrating. It doesn't help that there's no build warning when a named image isn't found, it just defaults to the text label. Screenshot Screenshot of SF Symbols 7 showing three symbols missing Availability info. The symbol ellipsis.circle.badge is selected and its properties pane also shows no Availability info.

"Application has not loaded accessibility" timeout followed by silent auto-recovery corrupts framework state on iOS 18
On iOS 18, when XCUITest encounters an "Application has not loaded accessibility" error after the 60 second timeout, it performs an undocumented auto-recovery ("Setting up automation session") instead of halting the test as documented. This leaves the XCUITest framework in a corrupted state, causing subsequent tests in the same session to fail with unexpected behavior. Expected Behavior (per Apple documentation): Any failure in the launch sequence will be reported as a test failure and the test will be halted at that point. Actual Behavior: XCUITest waits 60 seconds for accessibility to load Logs "Application has not loaded accessibility" error Instead of halting, performs "Setting up automation session" (auto-recovery) Test continues with corrupted framework state Subsequent tests in the same session fail with phantom element queries Steps Run XCUITest suite on a real iOS 18 device Have an app with moderately heavy initialization (e.g., synchronous network operations during bootstrap) Observe intermittent "accessibility not loaded" errors When error occurs, subsequent tests fail with unexpected behavior Test Logs Evidence First test (accessibility failure + recovery): t = 11.11s Wait for accessibility to load t = 71.14s Capturing diagnostic spindump t = 76.24s Assertion Failure: Application 'com.example.app' has not loaded accessibility t = 76.26s Setting up automation session ← Undocumented recovery t = 77.29s Tear Down Second test (corrupted state): t = 35.01s Tap "signin-button" t = 35.55s Waiting for "bannerButtonStackFirstItem" ← Query NOT in test code! t = 40.58s Assertion Failure: Failed to find element The second test executes element queries that do not exist in its source code, indicating leaked/corrupted state from the previous test's failed recovery. Note: The tearDown() method terminates the app but cannot reset the internal state of the XCUITest framework itself, so corruption persists across tests. We are observing this behavior consistently on iOS 18 real devices. We would like to know: Is this a known issue with XCUITest on iOS 18? Is anyone experiencing similar "accessibility not loaded" failures followed by auto-recovery? Is the "Setting up automation session" recovery behavior intentional or a bug? Is there a recommended workaround to prevent framework state corruption between tests?

Background Assets Directory Collision
Hello, I'm trying to use multiple Background Assets Packs to host map tiles. This is problematic for a few reasons. MKTileOverlay requires a method that returns a URL. AssetPackManager.shared.url() throws, but it's unrelated to the url. It will return a URL even if it points to nothing. There's no name-spacing. Everything appears to be flattened. (See Error below) Simultaneously, this also is not the case as the documentation states: if there’s a path collision across multiple asset packs, then it’s undefined from which asset pack an individual file will be resolved. AssetPackManager.shared.url() doesn't have an optional parameter to explicitly declare the asset pack you want to access, like AssetPackManager.shared.contents(at: FilePath) does For example, I have multiple different tiles I'm trying to overlay for z: 10, x: 239, and y: 414. Foo/10/239/414.png Bar/10/239/414.png And even when explicitly stating the fold directory, it appears that the assets are flattened down. As I'm receiving this error. The URL for “Foo/10/239/414.png” couldn’t be retrieved: “414.png” couldn’t be copied to “239” because an item with the same name already exists.

"Show API Changes" no longer available on Apple Developer Documentation website?
There was a time that Apple Developer Documentation provides a filter to show the changes across versions, at https://developer.apple.com/documentation/technologies , with purple (modified), green (added), and red (deprecated) annotations. I wonder if this feature is completely removed, or is it still hiding somewhere? It is helpful to diff the API changes among versions. Thanks. edit: as pointed out by Rick, here is an archive link to what it used to look like

Public radar reports
Hello Apple community ! Not here to report an issue but I just wanted to make a suggestion ^^ I feel like a common frustration amongst developers is the lack of transparency over bugs filed on developer tools, SDKs, iOS versions, the whole Apple ecosystem really. This leads to the creation of parallel bug tracking tools (https://github.com/feedback-assistant/reports?tab=readme-ov-file / https://openradar.appspot.com/page/1) or filing of duplicates for reports that may already exist and are being worked on. I feel like this would save time for both external developers that encounter bugs & Apple engineers that have to look for possible duplicates to share a common public database of issues. Other companies have this kind of system in place (Google for example : https://issuetracker.google.com/) so why not Apple ? Thank you

Testing Family Controls & Multicast Networking APIs - Educational Use Without Paid Developer Account?
Hi Apple Engineers and fellow developers, I'm a student developer working on an educational focus management app that helps users hide distracting apps during study sessions. The app consists of: macOS app: Simple "Hide apps" button that triggers app hidding sessions iOS app: Uses Screen Time API to temporarily hide selected apps from home screen Communication: Bonjour networking between Mac and iPhone for session coordination The Challenge My app requires two entitlements that aren't available with Personal Developer Teams: com.apple.developer.family-controls (for Screen Time API) com.apple.developer.networking.multicast (for Bonjour device discovery) Current Error Messages text Cannot create a iOS App Development provisioning profile for "focuser.focuser-app". Personal development teams, including "My Name", do not support the Family Controls (Development) capability. Provisioning profile doesn't include the com.apple.developer.family-controls and com.apple.developer.networking.multicast entitlements. My Question for Apple Engineers Is there any legitimate way to test these privacy-sensitive APIs on my own devices for educational/learning purposes without purchasing the $99/year Apple Developer Program membership? I understand the security reasons behind these restrictions, but as a student just learning iOS development, it creates a significant barrier to experimenting with these technologies.

Can't install iOS 26.0 beta through xcodes or xcodebuild
I need to automate updating to latest iOS betas as part of my ci script, but I can't get it to install iOS 26.0 beta for the life of me, using xcodes or xcodebuild. I can see the version listed using xcodes runtimes --include-betas, and I tried sudo xcodes runtimes install "iOS 26.0-beta1", but I would get the error Downloading Runtime iOS 26.0-beta1: 0% Error: ProcessExecutionError()\ I also tried xcodebuild -downloadPlatform iOS -buildVersion 23A5260l, where I found the specific build id on apples dev images website. But I would get the error iOS 23A5260l is not available for download. Specific version download failed, trying downloadPlatform ios latest... And similar error for trying xcodebuild -downloadPlatform iOS -buildVersion 26.0 or other version ids I found online. But this command would work for any other versions and betas listed on the website. I was able to install iOS 26.0 through xcodebuild -downloadPlatform iOS, which automatically installed it for me, but this is unideal for my situation, as I want to control which betas to install instead of just the latest one (like iOS 18.6 beta that just came out). Is anyone else also struggling with these errors? xcodes version 1.6.2 Xcode version 26.0 Beta (installed and selected through xcode)

Can I get notified when my watchOS app is terminated by the system (e.g. watchdog)?
Hi all, I’m developing a watchOS app and have seen cases where the app is terminated by the system — for example, due to CPU usage limits being exceeded (watchdog termination). Here’s a portion of one of the crash reports: Exception Type: EXC_CRASH (SIGKILL) Exception Codes: 0x0000000000000000, 0x0000000000000000 Termination Reason: CAROUSEL 2343432205 <RBSTerminateContext| domain:10 code:0x8BADF00D explanation:[app<app_name>:898] Failed to terminate gracefully after 5.0s ProcessVisibility: Foreground ProcessState: Running WatchdogEvent: process-exit WatchdogVisibility: Foreground WatchdogCPUStatistics: ( "Elapsed total CPU time (seconds): 11.280 (user 9.800, system 1.480), 100% CPU", "Elapsed application CPU time (seconds): 5.162, 46% CPU" ) reportType:CrashLog maxTerminationResistance:Interactive> My questions: 1.) Is there any way to get notified (via Crashlytics, Xcode Organizer, or any other reporting mechanism) when this type of system-level termination happens — similar to how we’re notified of crashes? 2.)Is there any way for a watchOS app to receive runtime warnings from the system when it’s about to exceed CPU or memory limits — similar to UIApplication.didReceiveMemoryWarningNotification on iOS? Thanks in advance!

Portal of Apple for tracking health(crashes/hangs)
We are looking for a platform or portal provided by Apple that allows us to track crashes, hangs, or other runtime issues faced by users while using our iOS/macOS application. This is similar to how we currently use Windows Error Reporting (WER) for our Windows application. Important note: Our application is not distributed via the Apple App Store — it is delivered through enterprise distribution or ad-hoc provisioning.
